Operational areas

Our area of operation is located in the savanna area known as MAPITO, formed by the southern state of Maranhão, northeastern region of thestate of Tocantins and southwest of the Piauí State - a state in which Insolo holds all of its investments.The concentration of our assets in this region is due to, among other factors, the proper level of productivity, flat topography and favorable amount of rainfall, availability of large areas to be developed, good logistics infrastructure for the states of the Midwest, and large investment projects in the region in the medium and long term.

The average annual volume of rainfall in this region is approximately 1,400 mm. The rainy season starts in October and ends at the beginning of May, which adequately meets the water demand of crops to be planted in our production units. The region has favorable natural conditions such as flat topography over large areas, allowing mechanization with high efficiency, as well as deep and well-drained soils with low natural fertility that require the use of fertilizers and corrective agricultural agents for the expression of their farming capability.
